The journey begins in the early morning with a pick-up from your hotel or the airport in Bishkek. After a 3–4 hour drive, you will arrive in Cholpon-Ata, the main tourist hub of Kyrgyzstan. You will check in at either a modern-style yurt with full amenities or an apartment-style hotel. After settling in, you will have lunch. In the afternoon, you can enjoy free time by the lake, relaxing on the beach. In the evening, you have two options: A yacht tour to the center of the lake, where you can have dinner onboard. A visit to an ethno-restaurant featuring a unique interior and traditional Kyrgyz decor. Note: The yacht tour is not included in the package cost.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will begin your journey along the northern shore of Yssyk-Kul Lake. Along the way, you will visit Grigorevskiy Gorge and Kyrchyn Jailoo, a beautiful green pasture filled with traditional nomadic yurts. This location has hosted the World Nomad Games twice. You will then return to the highway and pass through Semenov Gorge before reaching Karakol city in about two hours. After checking in at a local hotel and having lunch, you will visit Karakol Ski Base. There, you will take a cable car up to a panoramic viewpoint where you can admire the surrounding mountain peaks, including Karakol Peak. In the evening, you will have dinner at a traditional ethno-restaurant with live music. Afterward, you will head to Ak-Suu village, just outside the city, for a relaxing swim in natural hot springs before returning to your hotel for the night.
After breakfast, you will leave Karakol and head to Jeti-Oguz, home to the iconic red rock formations that have become a symbol of the region. This area was once a famous Soviet-era sanatorium. You will then enter Jeti-Oguz National Park, where you can take a walk through scenic green pastures and see a beautiful man-made Tian Shan spruce forest. After spending two hours in Jeti-Oguz, you will drive to Barskoon town to visit a small waterfall and take in the breathtaking natural scenery. If you wish, you can also try horseback riding. By the evening, you will arrive at a yurt camp in Tamga village on the lakeshore. Before dinner, you can watch a spectacular sunset over the lake. After a traditional dinner, you can enjoy a bonfire and spend a peaceful evening in the camp’s garden.
You will start the day with a homemade breakfast prepared by a local family at the yurt camp. Afterward, you will drive to Skazka Canyon, a breathtaking landscape formed by wind and rain over time. The canyon’s unique formations resemble fairytale castles, earning it the nickname “Fairy Tale Canyon”. Next, after a 1.5-hour drive, you will arrive at Ak-Sai Canyons, where you can swim at a wild beach and hike to a hilltop viewpoint offering panoramic views of the canyon’s vast rock formations, stretching for several kilometers. This canyon is uniquely positioned between the massive Yssyk-Kul Lake and towering, snow-capped mountains, making it one of the most scenic spots in Kyrgyzstan. In the evening, you will return to Bishkek, marking the end of the trip.
